The Youth Budget gives you the opportunity to have your say in the budgeting of the city’s Youth Services. During the course of the year, ideas will be collected and refined locally and in several stages to give everyone the opportunity to participate.
Every year, the Youth Budget goes through the following four stages: data collection, workshops, voting and advisory board.
What is the Youth Budget?
The Youth Budget is an annual process in which young people come up with ideas, vote and negotiate on what kinds of activities and services young people need and how the Youth Services’ budget is to be spent. In order to give everyone the opportunity to participate, ideas will be collected and refined throughout the city in several stages. More than 10,000 young people participate in the various stages of the Youth Budget every year. All 12–17-year-old Helsinki residents are welcome to participate in the planning.
