The voting results are confirmed in a negotiation meeting held at the youth center. The negotiation involves local youth, the head of the local youth services unit, experts, and decision-makers related to the themes of the Youth Budget plans developed in the area. Together, they decide how to proceed with the plans.

Plans under 3000 euros can be decided to be implemented from the youth work unit's budget, while more expensive plans can seek funding from the 150,000 euro Youth Budget fund.

If a plan is of the nature of an initiative, it can be decided in the negotiation council to turn it into an initiative in collaboration with the youth for the youth initiative system.
